  • Nordic Coach & NLP Academy has already implemented Neuroscience into their NLP and coaching programmes. Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system. To understand what is working and why it works in NLP, it’s not necesarry to hold a university degree in Neuro Science. Neither is it necessary to know all the names of the different parts of the brain and what they do. What does help is to know a little about what the brain is made of and how it has developed. It is this fundamental undersanding of the brain that provides the basics for NOCNA’s programme for NLP & Neuroscience.

Both NLP and neuroscience are becoming increasingly more popular within education and leadership. Although the implication of this new knowledge is important to us it is not always clear why. Patricia, with her relaxed and friendly teaching style helps us understand more. So what do the latest findings in neuroscience mean for you as an individual, a parent, a professional or a team leader? Come along and learn more about how to apply current neuroscience research to improve individual, team and organisational performance. During this day we will give you specific tips from neuroscience and will encourage you to try things out so you can test and apply in a fun way before you leave.

We look forward to giving you tools you can use.

“Independently I think that NLP and Neuroscience both have strengths, but together I think they are absolutely amazing! NLP is brilliant at the how to’s. How do we make these things happen. How do we create change. The Neuroscience says “this is why it works”.

  • “Neuroscience is the scientific study of the nervous system.
Neuroscience is a wonderful combination for both NLP and coaching. In order to understand what works in NLP and why it works, it is not necessary to have a degree in neuroscience, nor even to know the names of all of the bits of the brain and what they each do. What does help is to know a bit about the nature of the brain, what it evolved to do, and how it achieves this. It is this basic understanding of the workings of the brain that will form part of the NLP and neuroscience programme. In NLP sometimes when people start their journey it’s little difficult to understand why some of the techniques works. And providing a neuroscience explanation and beginning to give people an understanding of how their brain works can make it much more obvious that these techniques really are effective and have a real basis in science.
Our understanding of neuroscience is changing rapidly and it is therefore important that there are individuals who can translate this knowledge in ways that make it relevant and easy to use. It’s also important that the information that people are getting, is well evidenced, reflects the latest scientific thinking and is definitely not “psycho-babble”. This requires that the neuroscience content comes from a credible source.

So what’s needed is an expert who can explain the terminology, provide a basic outline of the current state of play and who therefore makes the future learning easier. This is one of the functions that I perform on the NOCNA NLP Practitioner Certification. I am the expert guide that simplifies complex ideas and presents them in ways that makes their relevance easy to get. In addition to this I am constantly scanning for new research that is relevant to the topics that are taught on the training.”
